2025 NBA Draft: Key Dates

The NBA recently announced several key dates leading up to the 2025 NBA Draft, with the process kicking off in May. These dates include:

  • NBA G League Combine: May 9-11

  • NBA Draft Combine: May 11-18

  • NBA Draft Lottery: May 12

These events provide NBA teams valuable opportunities to assess prospects’ skills, athleticism, character, and overall health through comprehensive medical testing. The draft lottery, in particular, plays a pivotal role in determining the selection order for lottery-bound teams and could have a lasting impact on the league’s landscape.

Now, the details for this year’s NBA Draft are set.

  • First Round: Wednesday, June 25, at 8 p.m. ET (Barclays Center) – Airing on ABC & ESPN

  • Second Round: Thursday, June 26, at 8 p.m. ET (Barclays Center) – Airing on ESPN

The NBA will use a two-day draft format for the second year, a shift that aligns with the NFL's and other leagues' multi-day draft structures.

Early signs suggest a strong 2025 draft class, with top prospects like Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, and VJ Edgecombe already drawing significant attention as potential high picks.

As the NBA regular season inches closer to the finish line, teams are keeping a close eye on their positioning, knowing that these key events could define their future.
